When "Mission Impossible" becomes "Mission Possible "

"Your mission, should you choose to accept it..."

That's one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite movies - "Mission Impossible."

Once I hear that phrase, I know I'm guaranteed an exciting adventure to follow on the big screen. Spies, intrigue, travel to exotic places around the world, crazy gadgets, and even crazier fights. Whatever tomfoolery man can think up, they manage to pack into a two hour escapade. And the "good guys" always win.

As exciting as it may appear, it's just fantasy. It's not real.

However, there is a mission that is also fraught with excitement, intrigue, and in today's world, even a bit of danger. At times, it will feel impossible. It's otherworldly, full of spiritual mysteries, spiritual warfare, marvels, and an unimaginable peace.

This mission, along with all the mysteries behind it, is laid out in God's Word.

At first you may not find it so exciting. You may even be apprehensive as you release yourself into the hands of the supernatural Holy Spirit. Then as you grow deeper in the Word of God, you begin to see the purpose - the mission.

You begin to see God move around you. In you. Through you. He moves in ways your simple mind could never imagine. At least, until you begin to experience it yourself and see things happen with your own spiritual eyes. The changes you experience inside of you are nothing short of miraculous. You discover miracles do still happen. Otherworldly kind of miracles. Miracles that confound the unbelieving world.

That's God. When you grab hold and allow Him to do the work in you, life becomes so much more than a mundane existence. You will realize you are no longer are the walking dead without any hope beyond what you have in your current reality. With Jesus in your heart, you truly begin to live, walk and move in His Spirit.

So, what is this mission?

Your mission, should you choose to accept it..

John 14:6

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

MATTHEW 24:14

This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations. And then the end will come.

ISAIAH 6:8

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying:

Who should I send?

Who will go for Us?

I said:

Here I am. Send me. ‍♀️

JOHN 20:21

Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you."

ACTS 1:8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Luke 10:19

Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.

Deuteronomy 28:7

“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.

1 John 5:4-5

For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 PETER 2:9-10

But you are a chosen race,

a royal priesthood,

a holy nation,

a people for His possession,

so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Once you were not a people,

but now you are God's people;

Once you had not received mercy,

but now you have received mercy.

With God, "Mission Impossible" becomes "Mission Possible "

Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

If God has given you an assignment, He clearly trusts you to complete it. Question is, do you trust Him?

God bless,
